Bono is part of the crowd that Anand Giridharadas wrote about in his seminal book, Winners Take All: The Elite Charade of Changing the World. Bono has made bank by doing well by doing good - preaching that he's helping the poor or some cause, when in fact he's standing over them with his boot on their necks. He's right up there with the world's biggest phonies.
