Tonight I tuned into Bill Maher. I haven't watched in a couple months, I'd tuned him out. Bill called for an end to saying "genocide".

The Law: The Genocide Convention of 1948, born of the Holocaust, defines the crime of genocide in Article 2 (c) to include, “Deliberately inflicting on [a national, ethnical, racial or religious group] conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part.”

Read this letter signed by Ralph Nader and constitutional scholar Bruce Fein sent to President Biden on October 24, 2023.

And listen to this week's Ralph Nader podcast with Lawrence Wilkerson and Bruce Fein.

A Strategy of Annihilation
Listen now (86 mins) | In our ongoing coverage of the conflict between Israel and the Palestinians, we invite retired U.S. Army Colonel and senior advisor to the Quincy Institute for Responsible Statecraft, Lawrence Wilkerson, to offer his experienced and unsparing perspective. Then our resident con…

Wilkerson is a retired U.S. Army colonel. Over his 31 years of service, Colonel Wilkerson served as Secretary of State Colin Powell's Chief of Staff from 2002 to 2005, and Special Assistant to General Powell when he was Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff from 1989 to 1993.

Bruce Fein is a Constitutional scholar and an expert on international law.  Mr. Fein was Associate Deputy Attorney General under Ronald Reagan and he is the author of Constitutional Peril: The Life and Death Struggle for Our Constitution and Democracy, and American Empire: Before the Fall.

Both Wilkersen and Fein, along with many other experts such as Professor Norman Finkelstein agree that what's happening in Gaza is genocide and the United States has blood on its hands. Not only that, the United States and Israel are violating a number of international laws. President Biden is ignoring the United States Constitution.

If cutting off electricity, food, and water, if bombing and killing innocent civilians, or destroying the homes and way of life of thousands of Palestinians doesn't fit the aforementioned definition of genocide, then the sky isn't blue.

That Bill turns his back on the truth, and people are being cancelled or worse for speaking truth to power is disheartening.

My hope is that the thousands of protesters will grow to millions. People will rise up, corrupt governments will be defeated.
