I'm an OG from a different time (started in tech around ’87) and space.
I don't care about the vanity side of this. But I dig the fun. I got in all because in about an hour on Sunday (or was it Saturday?) morning I said to myself "this is better than CryptoPunks". Not putting CryptoPunks down. I'd done well on ETH, other picks, had the money to lose. Buy. Fuck it.
I also got in because I thought there won't be another like this. Or if there is, whatever comes next is going to have to be an order of magnitude better for anyone to care. An, "I gotta have this". A drop-what-you’re-doing-right-now-and-buy. A must-have.
I've been thinking to make money for many moons. I know what must-have apps are, been lucky enough to do a couple. They’re rare as a #1 ape. Most entrepreneurs will never do one. This looked like a must-have.
It's been years since we've seen something similar - ode to the punks. If we do see this again, it'll be years. In between, there's nothing but blue sky for apes.
Then I said to myself, "have the devs blown their wad?" Based entirely on what I'd seen in that 1 hour that went by like a blur, they were just getting warmed up.
So I aped. Happy I did.
